Malala- the powerful 18th years old girl.

Malala Yousafzai is a campaigner of the Education for girl in Lebanon in 2012 who was back then just only 16th years old. Meanwhile, she was shot by Taliban while the campaign launched. Her campaign is aims to encourage and offer opportunity for girl (women) to be able to access to the education equally with boy (men).
Malala was flown to Britain for the treatment after assassinated and live permanently there with her family. However, on 12th July she came back and celebrated her 18th birthday by opening a school in the informal refugee settlement in Lebanon’ Beka’s Valley where more than 200 Syrian girls living in by her fund name.
The most significant mark for her as a teenager is that she has been awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 from her education campaign.
This school is not only to offer opportunity for girls in the refugee settlement only but will effect for whole world where the leaders of every country will have to look back
I believe her voice spread wider than her action where the leader of every country should have to look back and take some action on that, she cried. She said “ the worst thing is that the international community and world leaders are not paying attention and that’s what drives me to come here and celebrate my birthday and to say to world leaders: You need to focus on it and you need to invest here, otherwise it will be a generation lost”
My perspective, she is brave and matures than her age or people her age. She marks her 18th birthday by doing the huge and significant change by developing on the education area in Lebanon…… While other teenagers celebrate their birthday by having a big party and spending nothing back to their society or don’t even think about it at all.

Does School important

Here are the story about There is a little girl called “Meena” which means March in Laos, who lives in a small house in the Southern of Laos. There are 8 people in her family, parents and the 6 kids. The family is a middle class. All of them are study together until secondary school then Meena’s study was cease. Her brothers are allowed to continue study in a high school except Meena which makes her sorrow. Unfortunately, she can’t make any comment or argue with her parents in this case even deep down she really wants to continue study and she is good at it.

The reason of this decision is that most of people in Southern of Laos have been taught that women are not necessary to have high education. In order to live a life women only need wifely skills such as cooking, washing up and so on. Her dad always said “one day you going to have your own family, you only have to taking good care of your husband and babies so you don’t have to worry about study at all. In contrast, your brothers are going to be a leader of their family so they are required to have high education in order to be a strong leader” .  As a result, she has to stays at home do all the household chores while her 5 brothers are studying and learn new things at school with a lot of friends. Her brother’s life is going to be good after their graduated high school. some of them are going to continue study in the university, some are looking for a vocation job which required at lease high school degree.

Their life seem to be brighter than Meena who has to stay with parents whole day doing house work just because she didn’t have a chance to go to school. Who knows maybe if Meena has a chance to go to school she could have the better living standard than her five brothers. However things like that will never happen. In addition, Meena who has a low educated just secondary school said “ never mind what my parent did to me, when I have my own child I’ll support them all to study as highest as they wish no matter they are girl or boy,  so they can ensure they all can enough income in order to look after their family.”

Recently, it can be seen that those treat is getting less. The number of girl attend to high school are higher than before.plus, there are a lots of women working outside being a good worker and come back home being a good parenting. This is showing that as a human we all have right to study in order to secure their job and salary.
These days can you live without qualify?

Another side of Islamic State

I have read an article about an Islamic State last class. This article is wider my knowledge and understanding as I’ve never interested in any Muslim religion or Islamic State ever. However, this article gives me a thought about how government cope and maintain their supports to their people in order to make sure their citizen are being cared during war.
This makes me realized that even in a tough time their government never neglect their citizen. Moreover, undoubted why Muslim people are believe, trust and royal on their religious leader or so called” Prophet”. Due to he always look after his followers and make sure all the basic needs are offered and reached them. As picture below shows that their street is being clean by the worker means that while WAR is still ongoing their government also still maintain all basic required and coping on balancing a peace and war.

Can’t imagine if Laos is facing the same situation like this.

Political Compass

This is my Political Compass result, it is clearly see that I concern a lot in the freely of people social more than the freely in economic. I have test the another test in class but still got a pretty much the same result. Does this mean I should study and work in Development indicate instead of being office staff???

How Media influence people

Welcome back to my blog...... Today I will talk about the news that I have read where I think it's a good reflection of our thought toward society. so please have a look!

The article was about the banned of an “unhealthy, underweight” model from Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) advertisement in U.K, where the photo presented a woman with rib cage appeared visibly as well as her thighs and legs are very (or I would say extremely) thin. as per below picture. An advert using underweight model have changed the image of true beauty and lead to become a norm in U.K. In consequence, the number of  the eating disorder is increasing dramatically in the last three years. Whilst the advert was received different kinds of complaints but it seems that the YSL has no action or comment on that. Therefore, it makes more complains about their irresponsibility toward society. At the same time there is the charity Anorexia and Bulimia Care (ABC) said the media on vulnerable young people can act as a dangerous catalyst.”. and then ruled that any advert must not appear or release in the same form in order to prevent this issue.

This is showing that the power of media through people is a serious issue, especially to teenagers who are tend to follow the trend without thinking or re-considered before imitate it. Once read this I realised that before we believe something we have read or heard about we should re-consider; make sure its accuracy and no harm to ourselves or others.

PS. I found that skinny ladies (like this model) are not attractive, I personally like curve shape where women look more (real) feminine .... I'm not sure if this a kind of Bias? but let me hear your thought though.

First place that I recommend people to visit is Myanmar, where you can experiences weather, religion and tradition similar as Laos. Traditional costume still wearing in their routine by a local people as you can see from picture below people are wearing skirt or so called "Longyi". Beside that, people are very nice, loyal and friendly, which makes Myanmar become the most peace and smile country.

Photo below is called "ShweDagon Pagoda" the most popular pagoda in Myanmar. This is the "must visit" list if you have a chance to visit Myanmar.
